Command and conquer red alert 3 Uprising

Uprising, the first expansion to last year's excellent RTS Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, is a curious beast. It's a download only, standalone, entirely single-player experience. That's right, we said entirely single-player experience.

Which is a strange choice from developer EA Los Angeles. The best thing about Red Alert 3 was the co-operative campaign - well, that's we we thought anyway. Perhaps the decision to provide four new single-player mini-campaigns and a vast single-player Challenge mode is an indication that we were wrong. RTS expansions exist to give fans more of what they liked from the games they're expanding upon. That there is no multiplayer in Uprising suggests that most people who bought Red Alert 3 played it on their own.

True or false, what we have here, for £15 from the EA Store, is an expansion that at times impresses by making you feel like an RTS god, then disappoints because it falls short of the high-quality spectacle that was the original, and feels, well, just a bit lonely.

Uprising picks up where RA3 finished. At first only the Soviet mini-campaign and the bonus dungeon crawl mini-campaign are available. The Soviet campaign begins with a trademark tongue-in-cheek live action clip (Uprising brings half-an-hour's worth of new footage). The Allies, having dealt with the Soviets and the Empire of the Rising Sun, and with Tim Curry's Premier Cherdenko safely behind bars, are wallowing in the glory of their victory. European Union president Rupert Thornley, played by Malcolm McDowell, is addressing the media, downplaying rumours of a Soviet resistance force. It exists of course, as we soon discover, and we're in charge of making it work on the battlefield, with a little help from the returning Intelligence Officer Dasha Fedorovich, who's still showing just enough boob to distract us from the Days of our Lives acting.

Pro evolution soccer 2013

This game commonly known as PES 2013, this game is a soccer simulation published and developed by KONAMI corporation.

As you begin the game and enter the starting screen, it is obvious the developers did not focus their efforts towards an attractive welcoming for the player. The title screen resembles an arcade like format with little animations, lack of gloss and dull simplicity which although may be a put off for the casual or new player, we veterans of the game all know that “personality triumphs over beauty”.

Now we look at the all important, and what PES is renowned for is : Gameplay. with the introduction of PES FullControl, players will feel more comfortable with the ball in smoother 360-degree directional changes and dribbling. This new concept of freedom of movement aids in superb ball control. The speed of which the player moves with the ball has also been slowed greatly compared to the previous release to be in line similar to real matches. FullControll also allows delicate controlled touches with the ball. If timed well, the player can knock the ball through the defenders legs and nutmeg them!

Dungeons 2

Like a good Bible story, Dungeons 2 begins with The Fall. Playing as Evil itself, the prologue follows my uprising against the world above. I stomp across the green fields of men, an unstoppable armored behemoth dealing 666 damage with every swing. After a bunch of do-gooders team up (forming some kind of Fellowship, if you will) and take me down, I’m banished to the underworld, my body broken and incorporeal. Dungeons 2 is the story of taking it all back.

The first Dungeons was clearly inspired by classic strategy game Dungeon Keeper, but like a rebellious teenager it struck out and made its own way in the world. There were great ideas in Dungeons, in which players built underground lairs to lure in adventurers, got them high off their own hubris, and then smooshed them. Dungeons 2, on the other hand, takes far fewer risks and sticks to a more familiar Dungeon Keeper formula. And though it is pretty close to the Dungeon Keeper 3 we’ve always wanted, its boldest new ideas aren’t fleshed-out enough for it to become a true spiritual successor.

Endless Legend

This is a Civilization-style turn-based grand strategy game, where you build cities, explore a map, meet rivals, engage in diplomacy, and achieve some form of military, technological, or diplomatic victory, although it’s not a direct clone and puts its own spin on those game mechanics--which can be initially confusing. Also, like its fellow fantasy grand strategy games, like Fallen Enchantress or Age Of Wonders, Endless Legend includes hero units who grow stronger, and tactical combat - the former is fairly perfunctory, but the latter is quite fascinating. Still, what sets Endless Legend apart from its peers is its overall tone and the entire experience of playing it, instead of any one specific game mechanic.
